The pretty front garden leads you up to the stable door and into the small porch, where you can kick off your boots and walk into the large, welcoming entrance hall, complete with oak beams and flooring.

Meander into the sitting room, where you can look forward to relaxing of an evening with a glass of wine, sunk into the three-seater sofa or one of the two armchairs, whilst watching a film on Netflix as the woodburning stove keeps the room warm and toasty on a cold winter evening.

The tastefully decorated kitchen provides a welcoming space to rustle up tasty meals, amking use of the electric oven and hob, before you and your guests retreat to the well-lit dual aspect dining room to tuck into your meal, sat at the dining table, overlooking the attractive garden through the French doors.

When it’s time to clean up, you will be delighted to discover the dishwasher in the kitchen, making washing up a breeze!

When night falls, make your way upstairs where you have a choice of three bright and airy bedrooms, the master has lovely views over the garden and towards the village church and contains a double bed, the second room also has a double bed and the third has a single bed, all with ample storage space for your belongings.

In the morning, indulge in a warming soak amongst the bubbles in the bath, or enjoy an invigorating rinse in the walk-in shower, before making your way down to the kitchen to make you and your guests awakening mugs of coffee with help from the Nespresso coffee machine.

Outside, the well-established garden provides a space for you to relax and enjoy the fresh countryside air; there is a lawn area on one side of the garden path and the rest of the garden comprises of seating areas surrounded by beautiful flowers and mature shrubs. An outdoor table with seating for four in the provides a great space for alfresco dining in the warmer months as a charcoal barbecue is provided and a bistro table with seating for two is tucked away next to the hornbeam hedge which encloses the garden and provides privacy. The layout of this suntrap garden has been carefully thought through, with a further bistro table nestled in the side garden adjacent to the dining room and an outhouse which contains a washing machine/tumble dryer, so you and your guests can leave with a bag full of clean washing!

Take a walk around Ilmington and discover the oldest part of the village, just outside the cottage, where you will find an ancient apple tree orchard and the Norman church of St Mary, where the bells still ring out over the orchard. At the heart of the village there are two well-regarded pubs, The Red Lion and The Howard Arms, where you can enjoy a relaxed dining experience and have a break from the kitchen! For the children, there is a playground nearby as well as playing fields, where the annual summer fair is held continuing from Summer 2022 onwards.

Sat within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you will find the highest point in Warwickshire, Ilmington Downs, which offers scenic views across the Vale of Evesham with many walk and cycle routes to explore, including routes over to Hidcote, home to one of the best Arts and Crafts Gardens in Britain, now owned by the National Trust.

Next on your visit list should be the well-preserved market town of Chipping Campden, home to the Court Barn Museum where you can learn more about the town’s local artist school and the history of the artists, and the magnificent National Trust Market Hall, where you can wander through the 17th-century open market hall.

Visit the market town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare and home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, where you can marvel at the historic Shakespeare connections as well as enjoy the array of shops, cafes and even canal boat tours.

The thriving village of Ilmington, the highest in Warwickshire, lies at the foot of Ilmington Downs in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and boasts a village shop and Post Office, two village pubs and is famous locally for growing 38 varieties of apple. The pretty market town of Shipston-on-Stour is nearby and offers many amenities, including shops, restaurants and pubs, together with a magnificent 17th century church. Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon, is within easy reach, with its famous theatre, striking architecture, shops full of character, pubs, river boats and lovely riverside walks, whilst the magnificent medieval castle at Warwick is not to be missed. Visit the splendid National Trust house at Charlecote Park with its graceful gardens, intriguing maze and Capability Brown Deer Park. Alternatively, enjoy a day out at Warwick Racecourse, or simply explore the many surrounding Cotswold towns and hamlets this stunning area has to offer.
