Guests say

Kite's Nest is a charming and peaceful cottage set in beautiful Shropshire countryside, ideal for couples or solo travellers seeking tranquillity and nature. Guests consistently praise the warm welcome from the owners, the well-equipped and spotless accommodation, and the delightful access to extensive gardens and farm animals. The location is perfect for walking, exploring local towns, and enjoying the rural setting. Minor issues such as small TVs or the absence of a washing machine are occasionally mentioned, but overall, guests leave feeling relaxed and eager to return.

The majority of reviews highlight the cottage as very clean, spotless, and well maintained. Only one review mentioned dead flies on windowsills, but this was an isolated comment among overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Guests love the peaceful rural setting, proximity to walking routes, and easy access to Church Stretton and other attractions. The tranquil countryside and beautiful gardens are frequently praised, with only a few noting the remote location as a potential drawback for some.

The cottage is described as cosy, warm, comfortable, and spacious for two. Comfortable beds and a relaxing atmosphere are repeatedly mentioned. A couple of minor issues (such as a draughty door) were noted but did not detract from overall comfort.

Facilities are highly rated, with guests appreciating the well-equipped kitchen, dishwasher, good WiFi, and access to gardens and woodland. Some mention a preference for a washing machine or a larger TV, but these are minor compared to the overall satisfaction.

The owners are frequently described as welcoming, helpful, and responsive. Thoughtful gestures such as welcome gifts (flowers, biscuits) are mentioned, but please note these are not guaranteed. Hosts go out of their way to ensure guests are comfortable, including providing extra amenities when needed.

The cottage was immaculate, offering a clean and cozy base for our adventures. We had carding mill valley a 15 minute drive away as well as Stokesay castle. Further out was attingham park which was beautiful to see and walk around the house and grounds. About an hours drive away was Powis castle which was one of the highlights of our trip. The hospitality really made our trip with the owner making sure we had everything we needed the first night and if the heating was just right. She also recommended taking a trip around the grounds, which was beautifully maintained and a peaceful evening walk. I especially loved watching the horses graze in the field opposite and would often in the evening sit outside and listen to the geese or birds chirping. It was a refreshing and peaceful break. Thank you so much!

It was cosy and warm - ideal given the wet/ cold weather outside. It offers great walking but unfortunately we couldn't due to weather. However, it is well place for days out to the National Trust. The owner was very friendly and provided all the things you forget to pack. Would recommend.
