Guests say

Mashers Barn in Bucknell is a well-loved cottage, praised for its idyllic rural setting, comfort, and stunning views. Guests enjoy the peacefulness, local wildlife, and the secure garden for pets. While most experiences are positive, there was an isolated incident of poor ventilation on a hot day. The property is noted for its proximity to countryside walks and pubs, though shops are a drive away.

There are no specific references to cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, beautiful countryside, and proximity to walks and pubs. However, the distance to shops has been noted, slightly affecting the score.

Guests find the barn comfortable, with mentions of comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. One negative experience due to lack of foresight on a hot day slightly lowers the score.

The barn is described as well-equipped and spacious, with a wood burner and secure garden. The lack of window coverings and an issue with heating on a hot day indicate some room for improvement in maintenance.

There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the level of thoughtfulness, so this score cannot be provided.

This was our 9th visit to Masher's Barn. Suffice to say we love it. Idyllic rural location, spacious, well- appointed. Lots of gorgeous countryside, walks and pubs nearby.

Fantastic accommodation, peaceful position and very picturesque. The nearest shops and all the amenities are in Ludlow 25mins.away approx time. The owner gave us a very warm welcome . Mashers Barn is very comfortable and is fully equipped with everything you should need for your stay. A large and airy barn with a wood burner for a cosy night in. Plenty to go and see in Oswestry, Ludlow for foodies and the market is a delight.

Despite the hot weather the owner hadn't had the foresight to open any windows or doors prior to our arrival; and as the property has a glazed frontage with no window coverings whatsoever, when we arrived the property was like an unventilated greenhouse. And the heating was on!!!!! We reluctantly stuck it for one night. The following morning we couldn't leave quickly enough. The heat in that place was THAT unbearable. So our week's holiday lasted for just one night. The proprietor said that he'd give us a refund, but he didn't. No refund was forthcoming from him.
