A beautiful cottage, with real attention to detail and beautifully furnished. With farm and river walks on the doorstep, this is perfect for a restorative break.. Set on a working arable and cattle farm, within the owner’s 2000-acre estate in the Vale of Strathmore, these four welcoming and spacious holiday cottages have been restored to a very high standard. The most recent addition to the collection, Kingfisher Cottage (UK38211) is a renovated, detached, single-storey luxury cottage, tucked way down a farm track. With two stylish bedrooms and beautiful quality furnishings throughout, the high ceilinged open plan living room/kitchen features an eyecatching wood burner flanked by full length picture windows, making the most of the view for the ultimate relaxing experience. Islabank Farmhouse (ref saap) is a traditional, characterful, comfortable farmhouse which is ideal for families. Curlew Cottage (ref syyj) is a charming, beautifully converted, detached, single-storey property and a haven for wildlife. Still part of the farm but located 4 miles away is Osprey Cottage (ref UZQ), a delightful, light and sunny, single-storey detached cottage.
Set amongst beautiful farmland and fruit-growing country, they make an excellent choice for relaxing breaks in the heart of rural Perthshire. The estate makes an ideal base for exploring central Scotland, Edinburgh, Perth, St Andrews and the Highlands. Glamis Castle is a few miles away. Outdoor activities (golf, skiing, fishing, riding, cycling) are readily available. Shops and pub 3 miles.

We had a wonderful break at Kingfisher Cottage. It’s highly equipped, immaculately clean, very comfortable and in a peaceful location. Beautiful and SECURE GARDEN for our terrier dog. A lot of places say secure garden, when it isn’t! This one DEFINITELY IS, so we had no worries about her escaping. Hedging has also been planted recently beside the fence, so that will add on another level of security. Lots of wildlife on a daily basis and we caught site of a Pine Marten one evening! We will definitely be coming back (we don’t usually return to the same place) here time and again we reckon. Highly recommended. Thank you Katie for your attention to detail and it was lovely to meet you.

A perfect holiday base if you're looking for somewhere quiet and away from others. The cottage is fitted out to a really high standard and we certainly think we'll go back. Our host, Katie, was really helpful with a couple as well. 10/10

Lovely cottage in a beautiful rural setting. It had everything we needed and was very cosy and comfy. Great position for going in any direction.
