About this property

Situated on a peaceful green close to the heart of the cheerful seaside town of Southwold, this bright and stylish property makes a fantastic holiday home for families, couples and friends looking for a beautiful retreat close to a gorgeous beach. Offering light and spacious accommodation for up to seven guests, the delightfully furnished, sympathetically updated and tastefully decorated house is perfect for keen walkers, beach lovers, nature spotters and history buffs discovering the breathtaking countryside and stunning coastline of a wonderful part of Suffolk.

Three steps lead up into the house, with an impressive hallway and stairs leading down to the lower ground floor which has a charming snug where you can relax with a good book. On the upper ground floor, there’s a stylish main lounge with a Smart TV and plenty of seating, and a delightful study with a choice of books and a piano. The elegant kitchen and the sociable dining room are upstairs, with French doors from the dining room leading through to a light-filled sun room overlooking the garden. Also upstairs, you will find a refreshing bathroom and four beautiful bedrooms: a cheery single, and three rooms with king-size and super-king-size beds, one with its own en-suite bathroom and views towards the lighthouse and the sea. From the ground-floor snug, French doors lead out into the sweet garden which has a lovely lawn, established shrubbery and a sheltered patio with outdoor furniture, making a delightful spot for dining alfresco on a warm summer’s afternoon.

The property is just 100 metres from the beach, with the pier, lighthouse and model boat pond all nearby. Beautiful house, well equipped in an ideal location.

This was a very comfortable house - although the lack of carpets and rugs made it noisy for our family of 5. The location was superb as was the garden, and the large number of rooms made it easy to find space for different pursuits such as the jigsaw, games room, working, etc.

Great house in a super spot. Lots of room for all the family. Only slight drawback is the darkness of dining room
