What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ms Hoare - Verified booking

Wonderfully luxurious to have such spacious rooms. We have stayed in Walberswick many times and we found that having such a very large garden made a big difference to the children, who spent plenty of time outside playing (note tree house is broken, but there are several wonderful swings). Multiple times a deer appeared in the garden, quite magical. We really liked the telly being off in its own snug room and not in the main living / dining room, that probably also helped keep the children outside! It was lovely to stay somewhere which gives the joys of a gorgeous traditional building - but then actually has easily-adjustable underfloor hearing and non-drafty windows. Great to have nice big table outside and loungers to enjoy the garden. All round very happy with the house.

This is a fairytale cottage with a huge garden in a lovely village location. However, we found a number of problems on arrival which required immediate attention, eg shower lever missing to turn it on, badly leaking tap, chipped crockery, and many other issues. The owners left no contact details so we contacted Suffolk Secrets on four separate occasions. They advised us that they had notified the owners who were responsible for managing their own property. Two days after returning from holiday we have still had no contact. This property could be stunning but needs some money spending on it.

We had a wonderful holiday at The Spinners. We all loved the the large garden with its views of the sea, trees lawns and wildflowers - especially our under 5s who also loved the quirky friendly decor of the house. The big family room/kitchen was ideal for us - lots of room for cooking, eating and playing and watching the birds. The children really liked their bedroom, while the grown ups had plenty of room and interesting furniture in theirs. The house definitely feels like a family home rather than the usual holiday cottage. Lovely walks, unspoilt beaches and nature reserves close by.

My family and I went to Lighthouse Lodge to celebrate my birthday. It was beautifully decorated and had everything a family would need for a comfortable and relaxing stay in southwold. Everything about it was so well thought out from the welcome goodies to the lovely comfy beds! The location was excellent - you could walk everywhere! Thank you for having us!!

Southwold is one of our favourite seaside towns and this was a perfect short holiday stay for a family of seven. Position is excellent and the accommodation is of a high standard and suited all our needs. The house had all the facilities we required and lots to do and excellent cafes and restaurants within a 10 walk.
