These treats can be savoured as a meal-to-go at the breakfast bar or taken through to the dining room for a sit-down affair at the end of the day: a restful space over-looking the rear garden. When night falls, choose one of the two well-appointed bedrooms to retire to, with the first being a king-size with views over the front lawn, village and hillside landscape beyond and the second being the twin with garden views; both feature plenty of storage for your luggage. The compact bathroom features an electric shower over the bath plus wash basin.The WC is separate and therefore ideal for avoiding any morning queues! The rear garden is relatively private and fully enclosed with a small patio area for you to sit outside and enjoy some Devon sunshine. If you should wish to explore Bishopsteignton itself, there is a post office/chemist and village shop within 10 minutes walk.There are also three lovely village pubs and a vineyard with a bistro restaurant.Stop for a bite to eat before wandering down to the Teign Estuary, where Red Rock and Down Steps await. Be sure to pay the town of Teignmouth a visit, where plenty of coastal fun can be enjoyed, from watching live entertainment at the Pavilions to unwinding on one of its beaches. Why not cross the water to Shaldon, where another sandy beach can be found, alongside the fantastic attractions of Shaldon Castle and Homeyards Botanical Gardens the steeply sloping hidden gem and location of the folly known as Shaldon Castle or Shaldon Zoo: a small zoo set in an acre of woodland garden above the village? Take advantage of your proximity to Dartmoor National Park, where there are plenty of outdoor havens to explore, including its numerous tors, the beautiful Becky Falls Ancient Woodland Park and the rugged Foggintor Quarry. The cities of Exeter and Plymouth are within reach (both less than an hour away by car), offering a wealth of landmarks and activities to experience, while the Tamar Valley AONB is home to more nature-rich sights. Bishopsteington is a picturesque village and civil parish in Devon, situated between Teignmouth and Kingsteignton. The village is nestled between the Faldon and Haldon hills and is near to the Teign Estuary, which offers plenty of opportunities for walking and sightseeing, as well as access to the Down Steps beach. The prestigious Teignmouth Golf Course, Ashcombe Adventure Centre, and Ideford Common are all close by, providing tourists with much to do.
