A delightful, semi-detached annex, attached to the owner’s, home in the beautiful village of Chardstock, Devon. Furnished to a good standard and well-equipped throughout, it offers a comfortable holiday base for families or a small group of friends. The property is made up of an excellent kitchen, where you will find everything you need to prepare some lovely home-cooked meals, as well as a spacious sitting room with plenty of comfy sofas. Bright and spacious, it provides the perfect place to relax after a full day out and about exploring the area.Upstairs are two comfortable double bedrooms, with one offering two single

beds with the flexibility of becoming a super king-size bed if needed. Both bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms, adding to the convenient facilities of the wonderful property. Outside is a large garden with furniture; a wonderful place for alfresco dining, or even just to relax with a glass of something chilled (The furniture will be stored from 1 November to 31 March each year and will be unavailable during this period). The views are breathtaking and, on a clear day, you can even see the sea! Culverfield Lodge is ideal for walkers and horse riders, with stables attached to the property and an abundance of footpaths and bridal ways spanning the surrounding area. Meanwhile, cyclists can join the 80-mile South Somerset Cycle Route at Ilminster and spend a day exploring the stunning West Country scenery. The market towns of Axminster and Chard are less than three miles away, hosting a number of independent shops, inns serving good food and local Somerset cider, as well as a Heritage Centre each. The village of Chardstock is also a great base for enjoying the Jurassic coastline, including the popular seaside resorts of West Bay and Lyme Regis. You can easily discover the delights of both Dorset and Somerset too, as Chardstock is right by the county borders, and there are numerous attractions to visit, including Forde Abbey, Barrington Court and Montecute House. Whatever you decide to do, Culverfield Lodge is a wonderful place to enjoy all that Devon has to offer at any time of year.

The lovely market town of Axminster has been made famous by the well-known organic shop and canteen in the area, which were introduced by TV presenter Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. Nestled in outstanding peaceful countryside, it is certainly a place to relax and unwind. Situated on the River Axe and within easy reach of both the West Dorset and East Devon Jurassic Coast, the town has many attractions, including plenty of privately owned shops, a weekly market and excellent old inns! With beautiful views on offer and the National Trust properties of Shute Barton and Loughwood Meeting House close by, Axminster is a must to visit.
