We loved Mill cottage and there were many details which made us feel welcome. It’s well equipped and thoughtfully decorated, very old - a period property with thick stone walls and 70’s updates inside. The garden is gorgeous- slightly wild, absolutely full of birds and flowers and sheltered sun. The bed and linen were very comfortable. Nigel was helpful and attentive.Buckfastleigh is gorgeous and the people relaxed and very friendly. The cottage is right in the middle of the period part on town but secluded, down an old lane.On the downside, the boiler kept going out - seemed to be due a service. We did have a gas fire and immersion heater so had heat and hot water. Bathroom is lovely. The windows really needed a clean and it seemed water had come in through the roof in the past so the wallpaper was stained. Some signs of damp and mould. The vibe is comfortable, somewhat scruffy but welcoming.

Lovely spacious cottage and enclosed garden with 3 bedrooms, one double and 2 singles. Lots of drawers and wardrobe space and cosy living room with a variety of games, books and dvds. A few bits need to be tweaked. The worktop is unhygienic as it is varnished wood and the water pressure is poor. Buckfastleigh is ideally situated between the coast and Dartmoor with lots of activities without having to go too far. There is a pub that does food and a couple of tea rooms. The is also an outdoor swimming pool in Buckfastleigh.
