Buckfastleigh, a multicultural town in the county of Devon, South, offers an unforgettable experience to its many guests. There is a lot to see and do in this beautiful part of England, and the area has a lively and bustling atmosphere to match the wide variety of modern and historical services and attractions. The town's major draw is the Benedictine Buckfast Abbey, which features beautiful lavender gardens and a community of monks who are able to support themselves without outside help. You can have a lovely supper for two while sipping on some Buckfast tonic wine, or you can take the kids on a fun day trip to Pennywell Farm. The Open Air Pool & Skatepark, the Climbing Centre, the Butterfly Farm, and the Valiant Soldier Museum are just a few of the many exciting things to do in the city. Explore the valley of the River Dart and take in the beautiful landscape before heading to the South Devon Railway, a historic railroad that runs parallel to the river. Located on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park, there is an abundance of natural beauty just outside your door, including a plethora of bird species, breathtaking vistas, and walking paths that are suitable for hikers of all skill levels. Totnes, not far away, features a historical museum as well as the Totnes Fashion & Textiles Museum; it's also a wonderful day trip destination thanks to its abundance of hiking trails and restaurants, cafes, pubs, and wine bars. Visit Newton Abbot for a dose of history or a day at the races, or spend the day at the beach in Torquay or Paignton, where you can take your pick from a wide variety of kid- and adult-friendly waterside attractions. Buckfastleigh is ideally located for seeing the rest of South Devon, and it has plenty to offer every type of tourist.
