Whatever you get up to on your holiday, make Mollys Barn your base for an unforgettable trip.

Ivybridge, known as the "Gateway to South Dartmoor," is located in one of Devon's most beautiful areas and serves as the ideal base for exploring the county's glorious coast and countryside. The Ivy Bridge, which bears the town's name, is a 13th-century structure that was originally built for packhorses and was widened during the age of coach travel. It is now a popular landmark on the town's Heritage Trail, which also includes other notable historical structures, such as a paper mill, which is still Ivybridge's major industrial employer. The aqueduct, now a listed site, and the much photographed remains of a Brunel viaduct are two of the town's most architecturally pleasing sights. This riverside town provides an excellent local shopping experience, with a wide range of independent shops in the compact town centre making browsing a pleasure.

Very clean thougout all though did find cloths under bed in smaller bedroom must have been left by last visitors. Nice scones jam and clotted cream nice greeting touch. Would come again. Difficult place to find up a single track road.

We wouldn’t change anything and definitely be back soon

Why? For starters, like others, we had difficulty finding the venue (a simple sign in the field and small car park would sort this out) and the owner didn’t respond to our calls when we wanted help finding it. The owner controls the heating and when we tried to contact them they didn’t return our texts or calls - at all! The blankets for the bed were smelly and the bathroom cleanliness left a lot to be desired - pubic hairs caught on tiles by toilet and shower plug hole clogged with hair (Sykes has photographic evidence of this). The thimble full amount of milk in the fridge, congealed 1cm deep sugar in jar, couple of teabags and spoon of coffee hardly ‘welcomed us’ - and the soap in the hand wash bottles had been watered down. Stingy beyond belief! How this place has a 5-tick rating is beyond both myself and teenage daughter! Furthermore, the one room kitchen/dining/living room was very small and would have been a tight squeeze to be comfortable for anymore than 2 people. Go there at your peril!
