Guests will love the tranquil surroundings with farm animals in the nearby fields, plenty of wildlife, a private garden, free parking and reverse level living, making the most of the views with the open plan kitchen, dining and living area on the first floor.
The accommodation is close to the village of Withleigh, which is just a 5-minute drive to the historic Mid Devon town of Tiverton. The National Trust Buzzards Woodland is just a short walk away along the public footpath with the opportunity to see plenty of wildlife and beautiful views. This part of Devon is an excellent touring base with easy access to lots of places of interest.
The accommodation is set midway between Devon’s two coastlines, convenient for a day out to either. The award-winning North Devon coastline is within a 50-minute drive with its golden sandy surfing beaches, and the Jurassic South Devon coastal beauty spots are within an hour’s drive. Nearby you can explore the Two Moors Way, visit RHS Rosemoor, The Grand Western Canal, Knightshayes House or the breath-taking scenery at Exmoor National Park, a short drive away.

We have just returned from 3 nights in this beautiful cottage and I'm really regretting not booking a longer break!The cottage was spotlessly clean, with everything we could need, including plenty of fans (although it was actually perfectly cool inside, given the heatwave we visited during).The setting is stunning. We were mainly using it as a base to visit family, but managed to spend an idyllic morning and evening enjoying the sheltered garden and amazing views.Chris and Jane were the perfect hosts, greeting us when we arrived and answering any questions that I had. Knowing that they were nearby should we need anything was very reassuring.I was so sad to leave, but have found my new favourite place and know we will be back!

Cowslip Cottage is simply lovely. It’s super-cosy without being twee, and extremely well equipped.Everything was spotlessly clean but the true wow factor lies in the location. Totally away from it all in a stunning spot (with a sun trap garden seating area) and wonderful views. We wouldn’t hesitate to return, having had a fabulous stay. It’s an easy 10/10 from us.
