Positioned just a 10 minute drive from Exeter's cosmopolitan streets and sitting within a quiet corner on the site, the lodge offers the perfect combination of countryside quiet and city break entertainment. With its leafy setting and lovely interior, Alder Lodge is the ideal place to unwind from a busy schedule so for friends and family looking for a countryside retreat, it doesn't get much better.

To the front of the lodge there’s a fabulous deck for al fresco entertaining as well as a bubbling hot tub for soaking away your cares. Inside, a light-filled living area lies open plan with the kitchen/diner to create a lovely space for spending time together whether for whipping up lunch, sharing meals or watching a movie on the flat screen TV, and the whole area opens out to the deck via a large sliding door to the front or a door to the side. The lodge’s two bedrooms include a contemporary and spacious master-en-suite with a bathtub (particularly well-suited to families with younger children), as well as a comfy twin which faces a separate bathroom with its own walk-in shower.

If you’re looking for a wonderful holiday that all the family can enjoy, Fingle Glen is the perfect place. On site you’ll find The Little Farm where friendly Shetland ponies, mischievous pygmy goats and chickens can’t wait to meet you and your children. There’s also a games room with two pool tables and a dartboard, and for little ones a motorised Peppa Pig ride-on car and bus.

If you enjoy eating out you won’t need to go far as the fantastic 19th Hole restaurant and Bar is just a minute’s stroll away, a cosy, laid-back spot overlooking the golf course and countryside where you can while hours away. The menu consists of a selection of tasty burgers, sharing boards, pub classics and stone-baked pizza fresh out of their pizza oven and on sunny days the outdoor terrace kitchen fires up its BBQ and outdoor pizza oven.
