This beautiful Victorian coach house provides a delightful rural retreat, and is a wonderful base for guests exploring the beauty of the spectacular Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Situated in a quiet, rural location and close to the village of Colyford, this escape is perfectly positioned mid way between Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. The nearby town of Seaton is a 2 mile drive and offers a beautiful beach and an array of cafés, shops and pubs. Being only a short distance from the Jurassic Coast, there is no shortage of stunning scenery and wonderful walks available take a trip to the attractive cobbled streets of Lyme Regis (7 miles), where you can ramble through the galleries and visit the historic Cobb. Other places to visit nearby include the village of Beer (4 miles) with its caves and sheltered bay. On entering this Victorian coach house, beautiful features welcome you in including exposed stone walls, slate tile flooring and a warming wood burner. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner means you can enjoy each other s company throughout your stay together. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and microwave, perfect for cooking up some local ingredients. There is a dining table where you can enjoy your evening meal or early morning breakfast. A wood burner awaits in this room too; listen to the crackle of the fire whilst getting comfy on the sofa or enjoy a relaxing evening watching TV. A cloakroom/WC can also be found downstairs. Moving upstairs, you re welcomed by the queen size bedroom with a built in wardrobe, traditional chest of drawers and wall hung TV. There is an en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a heated towel rail. Outside there is an enclosed patio area with bistro table and chairs where you can enjoy an evening stargazing with your favourite tipple. Additional seating can also be found close to the stream. Meet and greet the owners flock of friendly grey face Dartmoor sheep during your stay (lambing is at Easter time in 2023) and explore Holyford Woods right from the doorstep, which offers an abundance of wildlife and country walks. There is allocated off road parking for one car. Need to know: 1 queen size bedroom. 1 en suite bathroom with electric shower over the bath, basin and heated towel rail. Separate WC on ground floor. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Bosch Tassimo coffee machine. Wood burner & TV. TV in the bedroom. Enclosed patio area, although not 100% secure for adventurous dogs. Garden area with bistro table and chairs, additional seating close to the stream. Allocated off road parking for 1 car. The property is located at the end of a single country lane with numerous passing places. Beach and shop 2 miles, pub 1 mile. Property suitable only for small to medium sized dogs (up to spaniel size) .
