About this property

Little Sark is a spacious, beautifully appointed dog-friendly holiday home, situated in a great position within the pretty village of Port Isaac. Located within a short walking distance of the cove Port Gaverne, this delightful holiday property is a wonderful option for a family of four, looking for a convenient seaside bolthole.

Step inside to find a warm and welcoming living area, complete with a woodburning stove perfect for keeping your toes toasty on a chilly winter evening. Beyond the living area is a dining area and galley style kitchen, providing plenty of space to prepare delicious meals made using the abundance of Cornish produce on offer.

Beyond the kitchen is the family bathroom and also a handy utility room, with a door leading to the private paved courtyard with patio furniture – why not enjoy evening drinks here, before returning to the welcoming confines of the tastefully furnished living area. The property also benefits from parking for one car on the driveway. On the first floor is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom with sea views, and a further cloakroom.

Whilst Port Isaac has long since had a reputation as a very special picturesque fishing village, in recent years this gem has been brought to the limelight even more, as the fictional village ‘Port Wenn’, the setting for the long-running TV series Doc Martin. Walk around this quaint place and spot streets and shops, bays and boats that have all been featured in the programme. Or, for those eager to see more of the Cornish coastline, why not head out on the South West Coast Path and make your way to Port Quin, home to the landmark Doyden Castle. Further afield, Wadebridge with its shops, cinema and swimming pool is just an 8-mile drive away.

With so much to experience in this breath-taking part of Cornwall, guests at Little Sark are sure to have a truly memorable holiday.

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.

Settee wasn't very comfortable and it's a shame the heated towel rails were turned off as the first few days were wet and it would have been good to have nice warm towels. Other than that, lovely location and everything needed was supplied.

It was very well equipped and the little extras supplied were a nice touch. One reason for booking this was the convenience of the parking space at the front of the property. We met the owners on arrival who were very friendly and helpful. Our only suggestion to improve the experience would be for a few extra towels. We did wash some but the weather wasn't the best for drying. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone for a comfortable stay. Thank you.

It has sea views from both bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the facilities were good. However, what let it down was the cleanliness. When we arrived at 4pm there was a lady from John Brays in the property who said that she was checking the cleaner’s work. When we got into the property we noted that the majority of surfaces both downstairs and in the bedrooms were very dusty, some of which didn’t seem like they had been dusted for a while, and it didn’t have a “clean” smell. On our first night we ended up mopping and sweeping the floor and found clumps of dog hair, which proved that it hadn’t been cleaned properly.
