About this property

Located in the fishing village of Port Isaac, Cornwall, Crow’s Nest is a Grade II listed fisherman’s cottage which has been lovingly refurbished to provide a mix of original and contemporary features. With two bedrooms, a private courtyard garden and magnificent views over the village, Crow’s Nest makes a great base to relax or explore North Cornwall. Off-site parking is available close to the property, making it a short walk to the door where you will be greeted by a spacious sitting room with a lofty, vaulted ceiling, a woodburning stove and stunning views of the village. Split over three floors, the entrance and sitting room is at the top of the cottage, along with a shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. Follow the stairs down to the middle floor, where you will find two spacious and welcoming bedrooms; one double room and one super-king-size, the latter able to be a twin on request with zip/link beds. The kitchen/diner is on the lower-ground floor and has a high-specification kitchen with all modern amenities, dining space for four people, and a stable door leading out to a private patio area with further seating to enjoy alfresco dining. Port Isaac is an ideal location to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life; relax on sandy beaches, enjoy brisk coastal walks and stunning scenery, and dine out in fine pubs and restaurants. There are also plenty of great places to visit nearby; head to Newquay to try out surfing on the world famous Fistral Beach which has some of the best waves in the UK, pull on your walking boots and walk the vast moorland of Bodmin Moor, or visit the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic in Boscastle. Crow’s Nest is perfectly positioned to enjoy all of these attractions in Cornwall.

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.

We absolutely love it. It’s our favourite place to stay in Cornwall and have booked it again for May 2024. It’s an absolute hidden gem. The place is so well equipped with everything you need for a nice relaxing holiday by the sea.

No property instructions on how to operate items in the cottage. Although it looked clean on arrival as you begin your stay it becomes apparent it’s just a quick turn around, many cob webs dirty windows and as you approach the cottage there is debris around the front door… If you’re infirm or elderly both the cottage and parking will be an issue. Most places offer a welcome pack which is a nice touch, expect nothing here. We left two days early not for us and certainly wouldn’t recommend.

The house had everything we needed and more and loved the peaceful surroundings. A 100 yard walk down the hill to the pub and restaurants was perfect. Can't wait to return
