The hamlet of St Endellion, famous for two annual music festivals, is just a short stroll away, whilst the beautiful Cornish harbour of Port Isaac (of Fishermans Friends fame) is slightly further afield but still easily accessible by footpath. Close to several nice pubs that serve awesome food. Handy for Port Issac and Polzeath. Penny, the owner, was lovely and friendly, felt we had known her for ages. Definitely added to our revisit list

The sloping bedroom floors were unusual and took a bit of getting use to but itâs an ancient house so itâs bound to be quirky. Itâs ideally suited for younger relatively fit families. If you have mobility issues I would not recommend. The weather was awful while we were there but itâs England and not the cottages fault . There were dvds with a fair selection mainly aimed at children which is what you want. The farm dogs do run free so just be prepared for them running in the lane and barking whenever you arrive or leave to go out. Thereâs a small garden area at the rear which is safe for your own dogs to use and a washing line which if the weather had been good would have been a real bonus, the aga was a great place to dry clothes and keep warm (it was a wet chilly week!). All in all an interesting well equipped property.
