About this property

Puffin Cottage is a charismatic coastal retreat in picturesque Flushing village, across the water from fabulous Falmouth resort. The interior is beautifully styled, fusing spacious contemporary charm with character to create a comfortable bolt hole, set paces from the waters’ edge. The accommodation is set over two floors with three bedrooms and can sleep six guests. On the ground floor is a little entrance leading into the welcoming sitting room with squashy sofas and open fire for cosy gatherings. The kitchen with dining area is airy and bright, the perfect spot for socialising over good food. The conveniently placed ground floor shower room is ideal for washing away sandy toes. The first floor hosts three pretty bedrooms plus the family bathroom. At the rear is a sunspot paved enclosed courtyard with garden furniture for barbecues, coffee and sundowner drinks. Puffin Cottage is perfect for family, friends and couples seeking a tranquil coastal pad with the option of adventure so close by. Sample the Waterfront Inn and seafood restaurant as the boats sail by, or build an appetite first and enjoy a ramble along the scenic coastal footpath to stunning Mylor. Much loved Falmouth boasts attractions for everyone; visit the National Maritime Museum, discover Pendennis Castle, swim at one of the four beaches or browse the art galleries. Try a sea safari excursion, visit one of the spectacular sub-tropical gardens or discover the coastline from a hired kayak. Flushing Regatta Week at the end of July and Falmouth Week in August are amazing venues to experience. Puffin Cottage makes a superb holiday home throughout the year and will be one to return to again and again.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour and winding streets and beaches will keep you entertained. The town's old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).
