Dating back to 1577 the house is steeped in history and offers character accommodation with oak beams and inglenook fireplaces. Panoramic views over the Pevensey levels towards the South Downs which can be enjoyed from the one and a half acres of secluded and very peacful landscaped gardens which are ablaze with colour during the Spring and Summer months. Guests are invited to relax and unwind at this elegant and peaceful retreat. An ideal base for exploring 1066 country.

Cleavers Lyng offers a choice of Super king, kingsize, double, twin and four poster rooms options, our family suite sleeping upto 5. All rooms are individually designed and styled with en-suite facilities. Features include solid oak doors, antique furniture and glorious views. Designer bedding, fresh fluffy towels, hair-dryer, radio alarm, ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries. All rooms are en-suite, the premier room has a super king bed, with large bathroom, separate bath and shower, it also enjoys a large balcony with panoramic views over the Pevensey flats towards the South Downs. Our Top room suite has a super king bed, seperate sitting room and for families another bedroom with double and single bed. With views. From here you can at certain times of the year enjoy glorious sunsets. The Sunny room has a king-size bed, with shower room en-suite, beautifully furnished with Sweet-pea and Willow romantic French furniture. Stunning views from the double aspect windows.

Our French room has opulent Antique dark french double bed with bathroom en-suite. Bath with shower in bath. This room has the olde world charm , with beams and fireplace.

Our four poster room, has a normal size double bed , the bathroom en-suite has a bath with shower in bath. This room benefits from a seperate seating area with settee and coffee table.
