Snaptrip says

Curlew Barn in Leek is highly praised for its welcoming hosts, beautiful location, and excellent facilities including a hot tub. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, the property's cleanliness, and the convenience for exploring the Peak District. The barn is ideal for both relaxation and local adventures, with some minor notes on space for larger groups and bedroom noise.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews consistently mention the property being well-kept and in great condition, indicating high standards of cleanliness. No negative comments on cleanliness suggest guests are very satisfied.

The property's location is frequently commended for its beauty and tranquillity, with easy access to local towns and walks. The closure of a nearby pub is a slight drawback.

The barn is described as cosy and comfortable, with some guests noting it's a bit of a squeeze for larger parties and that open plan bedrooms may affect noise levels.

Facilities like the hot tub are a hit, and the property is well-equipped. However, one mention of the hot tub's limited operation time slightly impacts the score.

Guests have mentioned a warm welcome with a bottle of wine, indicating thoughtfulness from the host. However, as gifts are not guaranteed, this should be considered a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

The property is very comfortable and well equipped. Friendly and helpful owners there to welcome us. They provided very useful information on the local area. We loved the hot tub - beautiful view from the garden. Lots to do nearby. We did lots of walking at the nearby manifold way, near Barlestone, and at the Tittesworth reservoir. We also visited some great places within an easy drive, namely Shugborough Hall, Kedleston hall, Trentham Gardens and Chatsworth. Handy supermarket a few miles away in Leek and M&S food just a few minutes away in Ashbourne. The Bangladeshi restaurant within walking distance receives great, well-deserved, reviews - we are there twice! Will definitely return. This is a very under-rated area with beautiful walking and plenty to entertain visitors.

Short drive to lots of lovely walks and towns. The hot tub was a great place to sit and relax in the evenings! Would thoroughly recommend staying here!
