While many reviews express gratitude for the host's helpfulness and the property's amenities, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Unfortunately, we struggled with the cleanliness of the property. The oven and microwave hadn't been cleaned for a long time, furniture not moved with food bits etc still under sofas. Previous occupants had obviously had a 30th celebration at the barn which balloons remained, burst and full, not ideal with our dog. In the end our youngest found entertainment writing in the dust. We also had to rewash the pillow cases as dog hair was ingrained in the cases, I know pets are allowed but this was a bit much even from a dog owner. Unfortunately, all of this did take away from what could be an absolutely beautiful barn/ break if the issues were addressed.

Very clean, warm and welcoming, the Cottage was in a great location. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and are so grateful to the hosts for the lovely Christmas decorations. Weâll definitely be returning.

Bedrooms really comfy. Nice pubs in the village and not a long walk to and from, although be prepared for a hilly walk back! The en suite in the main bedroom had a smell we noticed coming from the drain every time we used the shower. And it would be brilliant if the hot tub had some form of shelter and a better light as it was very dark and slippy out there at night. Other than that we will definitely come back.
