Guests appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and underfloor heating. Thoughtful touches such as a welcome bottle of wine and detailed guides were noted, though some guests suggested minor improvements like providing tea and coffee sachets. Such a beautiful cottage, exceptionally furnished with everything you could need. Great location with vibrant local pub just up the road and great surrounding walks without using the car. Definitely go back again.

We had a very comfortable stay in Marl Barn. Everything was of a very high standard from the welcome to the comfortable beds and underfloor heating. The area offers a lot of beautiful things to visit and on a very rainy day you can just stay in and enjoy the big television and some comfy food. Our dog loved watching the goats and playing ball in the farm yard. You don't have to drive far to take in the wonderful scenery. There are lots of walks which will satisfy the occasional to the very experienced rambler. We can only recommend this place.

My partner and I had a really enjoyable stay at Marl Barn, it's a beautifully renovated space, very, very clean and well kept - the directions online were incredibly precise, we had no issues finding the property and we were given all the information we needed about getting into the property. There was a handy guide to local doctors and pharmacies as well instructions to all the equipment, electrical heating, fire, oven etc. There were several electrical outlets with USB/ USBC ports which were a nice touch, they also supplied towels and a hairdryer. I'm not sure which laundry detergent they use but it smelt amazing and you can tell the owners take pride in the property. It was on a working farm which was cool, we didn't hear the animals nor any workers during our stay, although they must have been up and about earlier than us. We did spot some cows and a few goats, a cat and the very well behaved doggo! There was a lovely bottle of wine left for us when we arrived which was a lovely touch. The only very, very small improvement I would suggest would be tea/ coffee/ sugar in the property. I understand not wanting cannisters with entire jars emptied into them from a health point of view but a couple of individual sachets of each would have been great. It would not in any way affect me booking with the cottage again, I would just take my own in the future and suggest others do the same, maybe that's normal but it hadn't occurred to me prior. There was an Aldi around 10 minutes drive from the property, and the local Italian restaurant Colosseo was worth a visit!
