About this property

Positioned at the end of a stone terrace, lined with plant pots and hanging baskets, is this accommodating holiday cottage within the Peak District National Park. Set just off from the main street, and with access to the chocolate-box towns of Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth, this semi-detached property welcomes couples, families and friends to enjoy a relaxing stay. Meander down the lane and enter into the lounge where a woodburning stove keeps the room toasty and warm, uplifted by pastel, sage green walls and comfy arm chairs. Next, the kitchen offers wooden worktops and grey painted units making good use of the space. The modern family-friendly fittings are there to assist your well-earned holiday break. Head up the plush, carpeted staircase where a double bedroom awaits, accompanied by a bathroom finished with clean white fixtures and a heated towel rail. The twin beds live in the eaves of the attic room where natural light seeps in through the roof. To the exterior, follow the shared passageway to find a utility housing a washer/dryer and bike storage. Walk along the path and up a set of steps to the patio, where you can laze around on a sunny afternoon, or read a book quietly in the sun room. A lovely spot of down time is just what you need after an adventure in the Peak District. Excellent walking with rugged peaks lie just north of this delightful town, with gentle hills and open valleys resting south. Mam tor offers a circular walk with dramatic scenery, whilst Castleton provides a lovely afternoon exploring Peveril Castle and Peak Cavern. This fabulous region is well worth a visit, with this lovely cottage as a base.

Tideswell is a village in the heart of the Peak District National Park. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. The market town of Bakewell is also just a short drive away and well worth a visit.
