Some guests received a warm welcome with thoughtful touches like a bottle of prosecco.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the property not up to standard upon arrival, citing issues such as dust, cobwebs, and unclean kitchenware. However, others reported the house to be clean, indicating improvements may have been made. The inconsistency suggests room for improvement in this area.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, stunning views, and proximity to local amenities and attractions. The village of Bradwell, with its pubs and shops, is within walking distance, and the property serves as an excellent base for exploring the Peak District & Derbyshire Dales.

Guests generally find the property very comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and the warm, cosy atmosphere provided by the underfloor heating. Some guests noted issues with noise from creaky floors and a lack of outdoor heating, but overall the comfort level is regarded as high.

The facilities receive mixed feedback. Positive comments highlight the well-stocked kitchen and the convenience of multiple en-suite bathrooms. Criticisms focus on maintenance issues such as broken appliances, poor water pressure, and the need for refurbishment in some areas. The balance of reviews suggests that while the facilities are generally good, there is a need for attention to certain aspects.

Some guests mention thoughtful gestures such as a welcome bottle of prosecco, which contributed positively to their experience. However, as these gifts are not consistently reported and may not be guaranteed for all stays, they are a pleasant bonus rather than a standard offering.

This is a really good sized property in a lovely position – plenty of enjoyable walks from the door or within a short drive. On our visit in cold, wet March it was great to have the underfloor heating, although we’d have welcomed a rug in the main room (shown in the photos but actually the floor was bare). The wi-fi was great and the sofas were really comfy. We would have liked to be able to open the shutters to let some light into the downstairs bedroom, and a dustpan and brush would have been useful. The hosts were helpful and responsive when we needed their advice. We chose to ignore the reviews which have flagged up the state of cleaning in the property and unfortunately this was a mistake. There was a lot of dust on the floors and staircase, tiny bits of broken glass on the floor in the living area, the blinds were thick with dust and cobwebs, the bathroom mirrors were smeared and needed wiping, the oven top needed cleaning before we could use it, the oven gloves provided were filthy. The property needs a thorough clean between guests.

We stayed over New Year and appreciated the Christmas tree! The village is fantastic too. Good pubs and food and lovely stream. Loads of great walks from the door and in the heart of a lovely area. Breathtaking scenery. Beth was extremely helpful with any queries we had. We had a great time! Thankyou.

The place offered a lot of supplies and facilities as well as other special items like underfloor heating and speakers which added to our holiday. Only thing I would say is that there weren't towels for each bed and a mop for spillages but that is everything I would mention x
