This is an ideal location for walking direct from the door, including the Monsal Trail, Pennine Bridleway and the Limestone Way. Bakewell and the spa town of Buxton are within 5 miles with numerous attractions and shops. Historic houses such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, as well as several National Trust properties, are within easy driving distance, as are the Blue John Caves in Castleton. Cycle hire on Monsal Trail, 1 mile. Horse riding and golf can be found locally. Shop on campsite, 300 yards, pub 1 mile.

Barn End Cottage is delightful. It is beautifully renovated, has everything you could need and more. The cottage is in a great location for exploring the Peak District as there are good walks & cycle trails nearby. There are also some lovely dog friendly pubs to visit for those days when you fancy eating out. Can recommend the Church Inn in Chelmorton. Nikki & Don were great friendly hosts. Can highly recommend staying here.

I can highly recommend Barn End Cottage. We have just returned from a fabulous week in the Peak District and would go back to this property in a heartbeat. Extremely clean and comfortable, right on the doorstep of the Monsal Trail and the Pennine Bridleway, very close to some lovely pubs and a short driving distance to Bakewell, Chatsworth House and most of the attractions of the area. Tony and Nikki were very helpful and informative about the area as well.
