The cottage is located metres from the sandy beach and long promenade of Newbiggin by the Sea, ideal for sunrise walks, relaxing sunset strolls, and views of The Couple sculpture out at sea. This is a great family seaside base with friendly shops, pubs and places to eat. Visit the Maritime Centre Museum and Cafe, Woodhorn Museum for local history and play golf with a seascape backdrop. As the gateway to Northumberland s superb coastline, discover Cresswell Beach (5 miles) for ice creams and Druridge Bay Country Park s lake and beach 11 miles away. Head to Amble s bustling marina and harbour (13.5 miles) for lovely food, and from there, walk along the river to Warkworth s medieval castle and beach. Inland, Alnwick Castle and Gardens (27 miles) is a great day out for all the family.
