The village of Longhorsley, is set within beautiful countryside, and is only a half an hour drive to the Northumberland National Park where there are some incredible walks. The nearest pub and shop to Iris Lodge is only a two minute walk away. The nearby village of Longframlington has a pub, cafe and a butcher shop.

Iris Lodge exceeded our expectations. Although the photographs on the website give a good overview of what can be expected, you truly appreciate the quality and comfort on arrival. It is immaculate, beautifully decorated and furnished and we were left wanting for nothing. The conservatory and outside space were a real bonus. There is great thought and attention to detail from the owners in meeting the needs of those who stay there. The location was ideal for my sister and I with our mum because we could get to most places within a 30 minute drive. The Shoulder of Mutton pub is just a 3 minute walk from the property which services good pub food with a great atmosphere. We can highly recommend a stay here.
