Allium is one of 4 in a row of cottages. It's located in a quiet rural area, and is in a great location for getting to the sea, only a few miles away, and many attractions, such as Alnwick, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Seahouses, and many small coastal villages. The cottage is compact and very well equipped. The water comes from a spring but is safe to drink. The garden is lovely and private, and birdsong is the main sound you will hear as you sit and enjoy a relaxing glass of wine. On arrival there was a welcome basket of goodies, including a bottle of prosecco, provided by the owners. We slept very well, as the beds were comfortable, and there was no noise to disturb us. There is parking for one vehicle at the rear, and guests need to be aware that it is a very tight squeeze to get into the space, as other residents need to be able to turn in the adjacent corner. We enjoyed our stay at Allium, and would recommend it to others.

Very nice accommodation. All very comfortable with good stock of books and videos for a rainy day. A nice goodybag of wine and biscuits on my arrival plus a coursity call the day before my arrival. Half a mile from A1 trunk road making days out very easy. Good stock of info leaflets re. places to. visit but one or two updated maps of the area would be useful.

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage had everything we needed. We enjoyed the tranquility and spring bird song in the garden was beautiful. We even spotted hare in the fields … fabulous. Loved this place so much we have already booked again for next year.
