Lovely place. Near enough to lots of places to make it helpful. Views around the water castle are lovely, and the weather behaved as well!. Visit Cragside for a historic and interesting day out. In the summer the gardens would be a great walk.Corbridge has a fantastic bakery and the most niche bar ever “Pele”. Small but perfectly formed. The house is well equipped and comfortable

An interesting conversion in a good position for exploring Northumberland and Hadrian's Wall. Good local pub quite near with good food including breakfast (Duke of Wellington). Very comfortable cottage - warm in winter. Owners very near and very friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay. Great location for a bit of peace and quiet and close enough to local amenities. I recommend the Duke of Wellington Inn and the Bridge End Inn for food and a pale ale. The Brockbushes farm shop does a quality breakfast as well. We all loved seeing the Rabbits, Hares, Deer around the Water Castle and of course the Donkeys. The Castle was spacious, good heating for an old building which was handy as it was freezing outside.Day trips to Hadrians Wall, nice walk at Wall Town, Bamburgh Castle, Druridge Bay, Northumberlandia, Northumberland Zoo, Alnwick.
