This unusual, detached holiday accommodation with a peaceful contemporary feel is a restored former water tower set in a rural location, close to the charming village of Corbridge. Hadrian’s Wall is nearby, and Hexham, famous for its abbey and racecourse, is only a few minutes’ drive. The Northumberland Heritage Coast with its golden unspoilt beaches and castles is 50 minutes. Bamburgh and Alnwick, both with splendid castles, can be visited on the same day. Recommended restaurant/bar in Newton village (8 minutes’ walk) serving excellent food. Shop 5 miles, pub 3 miles.

This was an excellent base for exploring the area, Hadrian's Wall, Hexham and Newcastle. The cottage is really unique and in a quiet setting and with friendly owners.As an EV car owner it was very pleasing to discover that a type 2 charger had been installed and that we were able to charge overnight.
