Cinnabar is a beautiful apartment for two found in Berwick’s historic Quay Walls. Furnished to the highest standard, this is a great place to relax after exploring the Northumberland coast. With modern appliances, this spacious home seamlessly blends old and new, with lots of old character to be found during your stay.

Located in the centre of Berwick-Upon-Tweed, you are in perfect walking distance to local beaches, pubs and restaurants, with free on street parking included in your stay. Cinnabar is on the historic Quay Walls, so it’s right next to the River Tweed.

As you enter the courtyard at the back of the house, it’s like entering an oasis, everything is green and overgrown in an organised chaos. There’s even a table for two outside to enjoy a morning coffee. A few steps lead you to the main door of the property. As you enter the home it’s quite open plan. There’s a very modern kitchen, well-equipped including a Nespresso coffee machine and a dishwasher. This space is ideal for cooking a late morning breakfast or even a dinner for two if you’re staying in for the evening. The kitchen doors open onto the most gorgeous living/dining room, which has a large L-shaped sofa and a Smart TV with Freeview channels and a Netflix app for use with guests’ own account (log out at end of stay)with Netflix and a DVD player. A favourite spot to curl up with a book or watch a film after a long day at the beach.

The dining table for two overlooks the very green and luscious courtyard space which is sealed by a gate making the very central home feel very peaceful and secluded. The focal point of the room is the massive fireplace, unfortunately this is not functioning, but it is beautiful to look at. The house has a large bookshelf with loads of books for you to read while you’re visiting. The living room also has a built-in desk, so it you need to bring your laptop away with you, there’s a designated workspace. As you head through the hallway there’s a stunning, large stone tiled bathroom. It has an amazing walk-in shower with a large rainfall head. This is a bathroom of dreams! The bedroom also comes off the hallway, up just a few stairs you are greeted by a very comfortable kingsize bed. Also looking out onto the courtyard, this nook of a bedroom could give you the perfect night sleep. The home also has a utility room with a washing machine and some storage space.

Cinnabar is such a beautiful home to spend your holiday in. The owner has a real passion for interior design and the level of detail they have gone to should not be missed! There is a parking permit in the house which allows one car to park for free on the street outside. If you have more than one car, then there are lots of local free car parks nearby. From the house you’re just a one-minute walk to the river, a two-minute walk to Bridge Street which has some fantastic bars and restaurants, and just a 5-minute walk to Berwick’s main market street. The local beach is a short walk round the historic walls, you’re also in walking distance of the train station.
