Bamburgh is a short drive which is well worth a visit boasting a castle and some fantastic beaches as well as a good selection of shops and eateries. Other towns worth visiting while you’re out and about include Alnwick, Lindisfarne, Alnwick and Berwick and attractions to put on your bucket list include Hadrian’s Wall, Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland Country Zoo, a boat trip to Farne Islands and Cragside House. The pretty Northumberland village of Lucker lies in the heart of Heritage countryside, midway between the A1 and Bamburgh. The historic coastal village of Bamburgh, with its sweeping beaches and dramatic castle, is only a short drive away with an array of excellent pubs, restaurants and gift shops. Lucker itself offers a good pub serving excellent food and a restaurant serving traditional french crépes and freshly cooked pizzas. Lucker is ideally placed for discovering the Cheviots, the stunning Northumberland Coastline and the Scottish Borders.
