Set by the owners’ home and sharing their 4-acre grounds, a 20-minute walk along the riverside takes you directly into Durham city where you can enjoy excellent cafés, restaurants and shopping. Steeped in history, Durham is renowned for its spectacular architecture and the unesco World Heritage site of Durham Cathedral and Castle along with its famous university which dates back to the 13th century. Enjoy a 10-minute train journey into the vibrant city of Newcastle and only 45 minutes to historical York. Shop and pub serving food 0.5 miles.

Being at Dairy Cottage has been one of the most relaxing holidays we've had for a long time, everything we needed was there like home from home and the beds were sooooo comfortable and the cottage was very clean ...... we will most definitely be booking again ...... excellent.

A lovely clean cottage with a great layout for two couples. The location is excellent, in a very quiet hamlet that links to the riverside walk into Durham. The garden is lovely. Parking place was right next to the cottage. Owner was very friendly and helpful.
