Durham is really beautiful. Train station very handy. Plenty of sightseeing to do across the North East from this area. Beds and sofas very comfortable (would have enjoyed a comfortable armchair by the window in the cosy dining room for alternative seating away from the main Tv lounge). Pub on the corner very nice. Shops, pubs and takeaways in Langley Moor a mile away. Quiet at night despite road being busy at times in the day. Always able to park car safely which is bonus. Had a lovely time staying in Rosewood Cottage. Thanks for the mince pies too xx

We were visiting our son at Durham University and the cottage is in an ideal location, within easy walking distance of the university's hill colleges. The cottage was warm and welcoming after our days out and well equipped for our needs. The washing machine was particularly useful. We made good use of the generous indoor living space and look forward to visiting again in the summer so we can use the pretty courtyard garden.

It felt welcoming on first entering. The ensuite felt a little perilous and I think I would recommend some kind of grab bar. The sofas were big and comfortable but watching TV was awkward. The frying pan needs replacing as the Teflon is peeling away and surprisingly there was not a spatula to use with it. I managed to use the frying pan by covering the base with foil. The cottage is well placed for Durham and local amenities and attractions. We did enjoy our stay. Thank you.
