"we enjoyed our stay at the cottage but would not stay again. Being disabled we found it a trek to seek local amenities, this was so when my wife accidentally cut her finger (which can be a major issue for my wife) and we could not find a basic first aid kit in the cottage which meant we had to wait the next day before we could find a shop. The cottage was pleasant enough and the area was worth the visit which we will do again."

"A well equipped cottage , warm and well furnished. Great views to Cley Windmill and lots of good walks on the doorstep. Convenient location for Holt, Holkham, Cromer etc. Pretty garden and not overlooked . Despite the rain we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again."

"All the equipment and furniture in the cottage is of a high standard and it is very comfortable. The heating and water system are particularly good."

"Lovely cottage, loads of wildlife in the garden, and walks for the dog. Only minus is the turn onto the main road and pot holes in the drive. Would book this cottage again."

"The cottage was comfortable and clean but one end strongly smelt of sewage and the toilet in the second bathroom would not flush properly, nor the bath empty. As there were only two of us we weren't forced to use this bathroom so kept the door to that end of the cottage closed. We did leave a note for the owner so hopefully it will be sorted now"

"Lovely cottage and garden. Good generous rooms, well furnished but not cluttered. The garden is well planted and pleasant to stay in, quite unusual in holiday houses. Excellent location in the most interesting part of the North Norfolk coast. Pleasant countryside away from the coast. The house was immaculate when we arrived and had a welcoming feel about it."

"The cottage was lovely and in a brilliant location. But why not make it clear in the description that there is no boundary between the side garden of the big house next door and the entire length of the cottage? All the rooms, apart from the kitchen are overlooked and anyone next door using the garden can walk up to the windows and look in. Next door's washing line is 3 feet away from the lounge window. We booked a detached property for privacy and quiet and feel misled."

"Had a fantastic stay for a week. Lovely cottage with all you need for your stay. A welcome bottle of wine and milk left in fridge for us. Thank you very much. A great base for lots of great walks with our dogs and places to visit. Lots of local pub and cafes all welcome dogs. Will definitely recommend and would love to return."

"Loved the cottage and location. Would definitely return."

"We have stayed here several times, we love the location near 3 dog friendly pubs and the coast path and a bus stop. We had the worst weather we've ever had in years of staying in Norfolk, 4 days of it felt like November, but we still enjoyed it. The house is warm and comfortable, with plenty of space for us and our two dogs and a lovely garden. It's not secure enough for our dogs to be let out unaccompanied (they could easily go over the fences if something to chase appeared on the other side) but we prefer to watch where they go and pick up what they do, rather than hunt for it later, in any case! Only two small issues, the double mattress is getting a little dippy and the en suite bathroom floor is never warm. We have a similar system at home and our bathroom floor is warm to walk on. This never is, whatever temperature it is set to and however long it is on. We don't think it works properly."

"Marvellous as before. Will definitely book again."
    Sheena ‐ 20 Jan 2018
"unfortunately for us, the Deli in Cley closed for refurbishment 2 days after we arrived. I have given a 10 for amenities because if this shop is open it is fantastic although the closest supermarket is in Blakeney. We love North Norfolk and Cley on Sea is a wonderful central position. Unfortunately due to recent weather the ground around the cottage was steeped in mud but that did not deter us. the cottage is warm and comfortable although it could do with a second shower."
