"Lovely cottage with windmill view. Saw a deer in front garden as well! Had a great week."

"The location of the cottage is fab. The cottage is cute with a lovely back garden but unfortunately felt and smelt very damp. Not all the windows would open so we struggled to air it. You could hear mice/rats under the floor and in the roof of the double bedroom which freaked our kids (and me) out! Also, I found a hardened piece of faeces in one of the baths which I had to scrub off, it was revolting and I then didn’t feel able to use that bath for my kids. A note had been left by a previous family with a list of things that needed rectifying, but none of them had. The cottage could be lovely, it just needs some issues sorting out."

"lovely cottage and wonderful for walking and wildlife ."

"We loved the location but the cottage itself did not appear to reflect the rating on the website. Felt that it was relying on the location to sell itself. There were only four of us and we felt that it skimped a bit on equipment in the kitchen- be prepared to wash up after every meal rather than using the dishwasher."

"We have stayed in this cottage before and thought it was very good. Unfortunately during our stay last week it was not as clean . The bathrooms were in need of a more thorough clean. Limescale build up needs to be addressed. Good location and pretty garden."

"Just lovely. Cosy. Well equipped and a brilliant location. Sad to leave and would recommend to anyone."

"We had a lovely Christmas break at The Old Stables. The cottage offered everything we wanted it to. I was unsure whether there would be everything I needed for cooking a Christmas dinner but it didn't disappoint there was no more juggling of food in the oven/pots and pans anymore than there would have been at home. We got a lovely welcome to the cottage with a Christmas tree and beautiful wreath on the door along with wine and milk in the fridge. I woke up to the lovely view of Cley windmill every day and the opportunity of lovely walks with our dog to the beach. Lovely area to stay and a cosy cottage which never felt cold. The only suggestion I would make is the double bed could do with deeper sheets, the topper was great but it then made the sheets not fit the mattress, which if you are a wriggler in bed meant the sheets popped off. A good time was had by all, many thanks for the added touches of Christmas."

"we enjoyed our stay at the cottage but would not stay again. Being disabled we found it a trek to seek local amenities, this was so when my wife accidentally cut her finger (which can be a major issue for my wife) and we could not find a basic first aid kit in the cottage which meant we had to wait the next day before we could find a shop. The cottage was pleasant enough and the area was worth the visit which we will do again."

"A well equipped cottage , warm and well furnished. Great views to Cley Windmill and lots of good walks on the doorstep. Convenient location for Holt, Holkham, Cromer etc. Pretty garden and not overlooked . Despite the rain we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again."

"All the equipment and furniture in the cottage is of a high standard and it is very comfortable. The heating and water system are particularly good."
