Staveley Park Studio is a well-regarded holiday rental with guests praising its perfect location, cosy atmosphere, and excellent service. The property offers a peaceful setting with easy access to local amenities and is an ideal base for exploring the Lakes. Guests have enjoyed the wood burner, the well-equipped kitchen, and the beautiful views. Some minor issues were noted, but overall, the experience has been very positive with many looking forward to returning.
The property generally maintains good cleanliness, though some guests have noted areas for improvement, such as corners with dust and a few items not being clean upon arrival. These appear to be isolated incidents rather than a consistent trend.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to local eateries, and accessibility to walking paths and nearby towns. It is considered a perfect base for exploring the Lakes, with beautiful surroundings and peacefulness being recurrent themes.
Guests find the studio cosy and warm, with a comfortable bed and a wood burning stove that adds to the ambience. Some minor discomforts were mentioned, such as difficulty in closing blinds and a creaky bed, but overall, the comfort level is high.
The studio is well-equipped with kitchen utensils, an air fryer, and a wood burner. However, some guests reported issues with hot water, heating, and minor maintenance like a rusted tin opener and cracked plates. The quick response to service calls mitigates these concerns.
While guests have appreciated the provision of tea, coffee, and biscuits, there is insufficient information to determine if such gestures are consistent or to what extent they reflect thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be accurately provided.

Staveley is a lovely, working and historic village with a celebrated gastro-pub and the Hawkshead Brewery, with good food available in both as well as in the much-loved café and the fish and chip shop. There is a grocer, a butcher, an award-winning baker and pizzeria, an artisan ice cream maker, a coffee roaster, a cycle super-store, a garage, a railway station and more. Here the River Gowan flows through the village and meets the River Kent, which provides a peaceful backdrop to the main street. Staveley is located just 12 miles off the M6, 4.5 miles from Kendal and 3.5 miles to Windermere and the popular tourist magnet of Bowness-on Windermere, offering a wide range of restaurants and gastropubs serving every possible type of cuisine you could want, from takeaway food to fine dining. You’ll find there an abundance of bars and pubs offering locally produced ales, cocktails and guest craft beers. Here you can take the Windermere steamers to Lakeside at the Southern point of the Lake and Ambleside in the North. You’ll also find several popular tourist attractions including The Beatrix Potter Attraction, which is great fun, or Brockhole where older children can enjoy a treetop safari on the high ropes. In Kendal you’ll find more of the major high street brands and supermarkets. It is itself a lovely market town and excellent for a day of sightseeing and shopping. If you love the outdoors, you’ll find wonderful walks from your doorstep, and a short drive will open up the best the Lake District National Park has to offer with an abundance of picturesque mountain landscapes along with some of the most stunning scenery, arguably, anywhere in the country.

The flat was lovely and in a really gorgeous setting. It had everything we needed and was so lovely to have the wood burner too. There was some wood provided, but if you want to have the stove on for multiple nights make sure to bring your own too. 2 small things: 1. The instructions are absolutely needed, the postcode just brings you to the area. Some signage once you get in to the farm would be helpful as we didn't initially spot the studio in the dark when we arrived! 2. The heating and hot water wasn't working when we arrived. However, the number for the out of hours contact was easily found in the booklet and someone was out to fix it in less than an hour from my first call so I was really pleased with the customer service.Overall a great stay 😊

We had a lovely stay here and would absolutely go back! We loved that it was hidden away but also right on a footpath, and ideal location to explore the south lakes. It was toasty and warm, had a lovely bathroom and cosy fire. The reviews are correct, there is an air fryer too. The kitchen is also well stocked with utensils, crockery and pots/pans. We liked receiving a box of hotel like teas and coffees and biscuits too. It was tidy and minimal and has a beautiful view too. We found that (as other reviews have said) the location isnt quite right, so its hard to find, particularly at night. We noticed that the location is down different in the mesages to the profile. The checkout times also didnt line up. We didnt receive checkout instructions so we used common sense, but it wouldve been nice to have. We did have a lovely stay and have said many times today that wed love to go back! Would recommend!
