About this property

Ideal for one or two couples or families, 21 Entry Lane, a delightful character stone cottage is tucked in the centre of bustling town life in Kendal, in the South Lakeland District of Cumbria. Upon entering the cottage, you will find a small, bright open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area, finished with a traditional décor and furnishings, including dining seating, a sofa, charming built-in cabinet details, and a warming electric coal effect fire that you can look forward to cosying up in front of. The kitchen is well-suited for all your culinary needs, and contains an electric oven, gas hobs, integrated fridge and freezer, washing machine, and a breakfast bar with two seats. Climbing up the stairs to the first floor, you will find a contemporary bathroom which is tiled throughout and features a large stylish bath with a shower over, a WC, and a hand basin. Joining the bathroom is a bright and airy double bedroom with a wardrobe, bedside tables, chest of drawers, built-in storage cabinets, with views overlooking a restaurant and café which are endearingly stone-built. Completing the second floor is a spacious twin bedroom which also benefits from town views where you can watch the world go by outside, and includes ample storage, an ornamental feature fireplace, as well as a well-appointed en-suite shower room, including a walk-in shower, hand basin, and a WC. The property sits in a prominent position and is only a short distance from all of Kendal's fantastic amenities, with a wide range of superb shops, restaurants and pubs to choose from. This historic market town will be sure to keep you busy during your stay, with a variety of interesting attractions nearby including the medieval 12th-Century Kendal Castle, Sizergh Castle, Levers Hall and topiary, the Kendal Museum, and Abbot Hall Art Gallery. Why not take a short stroll to Brewery Art Centre? For those craving adventure, the property is also ideally placed for exploring the scenic delights of Lake Windermere and the wider Lake District National Park area, the Yorkshire Dales, and the beautiful Cumbrian Coast. With something for everyone, choose 21 Entry Lane for an enjoyable break in the beautiful region of Cumbria.

As the southern gateway to the Lake District, Kendal sits on the banks of the River Kent, a historic market town with a reputation for excellent shopping. The charming main street is flanked by charming old cobblestone streets, and the stone ruins of Kendal Castle, built in the 12th century, are located high above the town to provide panoramic views. Abbot Hall Art Gallery's regular collection includes George Romney's portraits and works by Turner and Ruskin, as well as exhibitions linked to the Tate through its partnership with the gallery in Kendal. Magnificent views of Morecambe Bay, The Howgills and The Lake District may be had from neighbouring limestone escarpments and neighbouring castles Sizergh and Levens, both of which feature magnificent Topiary Gardens.

Well presented. Everything that was needed was supplied and more. Only negative was having to park car out of sight. However parking permit was provided which was very useful as it allowed you to park on certain car parks in the surrounding area.

Extremely clean, everything we needed was provided, including a generous welcome pack, the cottage is very central, and the parking permits were very handy. Communication with owners was also good.... would highly recommend this cottage.
