Snaptrip says

Barn Roost is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and well-equipped kitchen. Its peaceful location in a quiet hamlet is ideal for exploring the Lake District, with many guests appreciating the tranquillity and proximity to local attractions. The enclosed garden is a hit with pet owners, and the property's rustic charm adds to the overall positive experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotless' and 'very clean'. The attention to tidiness contributes significantly to the positive experiences reported.

The cottage's location in a quiet hamlet is frequently mentioned as a highlight, offering tranquillity and easy access to the Lake District's attractions. However, some guests note the remoteness and the need to travel for shops and amenities.

The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable, with a warm atmosphere and a well-received bed. However, there are comments about uncomfortable sofas and a bed that could benefit from a new mattress, which slightly lowers the score.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the useful conservatory for drying clothes. Some minor issues with appliances and a lack of initial supplies slightly affect the score.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Good utility area at rear of property to clean dogs down prior to allowing them back in the house. We had a rather wet week!
