The cottage's spaciousness and character add to a cosy and comfortable stay, despite some noting it could benefit from a refresh and better cleanliness.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the cottage to be unclean and in need of a more thorough cleaning, especially in the context of COVID-19 measures, while others did not raise cleanliness as an issue. This suggests that experiences vary, but there is room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and peacefulness, being set in a rural area ideal for relaxation and walks. The proximity to local amenities and attractions in the Lake District adds to its appeal, although some guests were surprised by the nearby campsite.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with its spacious rooms and cosy atmosphere. The presence of a hot tub and the farm setting contribute to the comfort level, although some guests mentioned issues with water pressure and appliance quality.

The facilities, including the hot tub, are appreciated by guests. However, some noted that the cottage could be better equipped with kitchenware and that some appliances were outdated or not functioning optimally. Maintenance issues such as water pressure were also mentioned.

While the reviews reflect positively on the host's friendliness and the welcoming nature of the cottage, there is no specific mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided to guests, so it is not possible to score this category.

Beautifully presented 400 year old cottage on a working farm. If you'd like a place to relax after a day walking around the lakes, this place is perfect . There are friendly dogs, cows , pigs, and goats which love being fussed over. Guaranteed good nights sleep in this cottage. Three generations of us stayed at moss side Farm Cottage, and all of us felt the benefits . The owners are very nice and helpful if needed . The only downside of our stay was having to leave after a fantastic time. Highly recommend to anyone.

The cottage was cosy but roomy enough for 7 of us. Louise (owner) is easy to contact and very friendly. A special thankyou to her for taking the trouble to post back a loved "teddy". Everyone we met was so friendly and the area is beautiful. The younger ones loved playing with the dogs and the hot tub was lush. Thankyou.
