Guests that stayed at this property said

Mixed reviews on cleanliness, with several guests reporting the lodge as not cleaned to a good standard, including dusty skirting boards, mould, and a general need for a thorough cleaning. However, some guests found it to be clean, impacting the overall score.

The lodge's location is consistently praised for being well-placed to explore the Lake District, with easy access to local amenities and the beauty of Windermere. The proximity to the lake and park facilities was a highlight for many guests.

Guests found the beds comfortable and the lodge spacious, but some noted that the property felt 'tired' and in need of an update. Comfort was affected by maintenance issues, but the lodge was still considered homely by several reviewers.

Facilities such as the hot tub and kitchen utensils were appreciated, but numerous guests reported maintenance issues with the hot tub and other lodge features. The radiators need bleeding because the 2 back bedrooms rads wouldn't get hot at the top. The fridge/ freezer was not on so then had to wait for it to be usable. Only 1 cupboard in the very small kitchen and that was in the boiler cupboard. Not good if it was 6 adults in.

It will be useful if the cottage number is lighted up so that it’s easy to find the cottage for the first time especially in the evening.

The only gripe I had was there was a couple of jets in the hot tub that didn't work. And although the cabin had a sat dish there was no satellite TV. And the TV had a wrong remote control until I found the original under the couch.
