Snaptrip says

Cherry - Woodland Cottages in Bowness-on-Windermere receives high praise for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and serene location. Guests appreciate the well-maintained property, comfortable furnishings, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The proximity to Bowness and the thoughtful touches, such as welcome packs, contribute to a delightful stay. While some minor issues are noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, making it a recommended choice for a family holiday in the Lakes.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests report the property as spotless and well-maintained. There was a single mention of floors not being clean upon arrival, but this was promptly addressed, indicating a high standard of cleanliness and responsive service.

The cottage's location is frequently described as beautiful and convenient, with easy access to Bowness and magnificent views. Some guests noted the walk to town can be unsafe without pavements, but the availability of parking in Bowness mitigates this concern.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the living spaces ample and cosy. The property accommodates large groups without feeling crowded, and the presence of a hot tub adds to the comfort. The only minor drawback mentioned is the warmth in the rooms when blinds are left open.

Facilities are generally praised, with a well-equipped kitchen, reliable hot tub, and entertainment options like a smart TV. Some guests mentioned issues such as a broken dishwasher and a desire for more kitchenware, but these are exceptions in otherwise positive feedback.

While guests mention welcome packs and fresh scones upon arrival, which are appreciated, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are consistent across all stays. Therefore, while these touches are noted, they cannot be guaranteed for future guests.

Also broken cheap plastic glasses for hot tub. Other cottages been to also have plastic wine glasses for safety reasons. Possible some more bowls only cereal bowls, needed desert/soup bowls aswell slightly larger BUT we had a great family holiday thank you Angela

  • Karen Anne

Great to have a hot tub.

Very clean and had everything you need for a self catering holiday.will use this cottage again. One thing they could do is put a roof over hot tub for bad weather. But i might be just be picky there.
