Skiddaw View offers spacious, comfortable accommodation in an excellent central Keswick location, ideal for exploring the town and surrounding walks. Guests appreciate the effective heating, useful amenities, and the convenience of a parking permit. While the property is generally good value and well-equipped, some areas would benefit from improved cleanliness, maintenance, and modernisation. The entrance alleyway is frequently mentioned as unkempt and dark, and the lack of Wi-Fi is noted. Despite these points, most guests enjoy their stay and would consider returning.
Several reviews mention issues such as mould in the bathroom, musty cupboards, dirty marks on walls, and an unclean entrance alley. While some guests found the property clean, the majority highlight areas needing a deep clean and better upkeep.
The location is consistently praised as central, convenient for shops, restaurants, and walks, with easy access to local amenities. The only minor drawback is the distance from parking for additional cars.
Guests find the property spacious, warm, and comfortable, with good-sized rooms and effective heating. However, some mention dampness, musty smells, and the need for updated décor, which slightly detracts from overall comfort.
The property offers useful amenities such as a washing machine and parking permit, but lacks Wi-Fi, and some appliances (dishwasher, TV) and fixtures require maintenance. Guests also note missing basics like soap and toiletries.
While the provision of a parking permit is appreciated, guests mention a lack of small thoughtful touches such as spare toilet rolls, soap, and basic kitchen supplies. Please note that any gifts or extras mentioned are not guaranteed.

Great location for this flat in central Keswick, so really good for exploring and night time. The flat also comes with free parking in the central car parks - another bonus. The flat is spacious and good sized rooms. Very comfortable and easy to use.

The cottage itself is big and location is perfect. Three bedrooms and the lounge is spacious. But there is a lot of small things that stack and irritate. No soap and basic toiletries, the water in the shower is too hot and it is impossible to change the temperature. Dishwasher does not work properly. The whole place is quite sad. No Internet, no games, no books.
