Number 4 The Plosh is a traditional cottage in a fairly quiet location, yet only 100 yards from the town centre. This spacious one bedroom cottage is perfect for couples seeking comfortable, economically priced accommodation and a central base. It is laid out over 3 floors, with the dining/kitchen and shower room on the lower ground floor, the lounge is on the ground floor and features an ornamental fireplace, whilst the double bedroom is upstairs on the first floor. Keswick’s amenities are literally on the doorstep, including the renowned George Fisher’s outdoor shop, restaurants, pubs and many more independent shops.

Had had a lovely time at 4 the Plosh very central and very quirky cottage. Downside- from the surface looked clean but really needs a deep clean. Lots of spiders webs with dead spiders, dead wasps and flies on one of the window sills in livingroom. One of the blinds in the livingroom didn't open, front door curtain coming down. Radiator in the bathroom thick with dust, sink in bathroom wouldn't drain away very quickly and filled up very quickly, cupboard doors in kitchen need cleaned. Stripped the bed when leaving as I always do when visiting a cottage and there was stains on the mattress protector. This is not a bad review as I would visit again just a critical review of the cleaners cleanliness. .Didn't think it was up to a satisfactory clean. I would certainly visit again as had a fab time but cleaners need to be putting more of an effort in. There is another few things but will just leave it there for now.

We enjoyed our short stay at 4 The Plosh, ideally situated in the centre of Keswick near George Fisher. There isn’t a dedicated parking space but can unload car and easily park in any of the nearby long stay car parks - can organise a free online permit with cottages.com. The front door of this end terrace is up a couple of steps and leads straight into the lounge, having a comfortable sofa and armchair with small tv. On the floor below, is the kitchen and only shower room/toilet. The two bedrooms are on the top floor. One a double with open wardrobe/mirror and plenty of hangers/hooks, the other has bunk beds. We found the cottage comfortable, having everything we needed. In the kitchen there is a hob, oven, microwave, fridge with a small freezer compartment, a dishwasher. There’s a small dining table and 4 chairs. The shower room is clean and freshly painted.As others have mentioned there are lots of stairs. There’s no outdoor space but this didn’t bother us because the cottage is so close to local parks, walks, lake and shops etc. We would def visit again.
