The Old Stable in Keswick is a quaint and centrally located property, ideal for solo travellers or couples. Guests appreciate its proximity to town amenities and the quiet despite the busy location. The unique and high-quality furnishings add to its charm, though some guests find the space compact and the layout quirky.
Cleanliness is generally good, with guests noting the property is well-kept. However, there are minor issues such as debris beside the bed and a comment on the sofa's condition, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for being in the heart of Keswick, close to shops, restaurants, and the lake, offering convenience and a quiet stay despite its central position.
Comfort receives mixed reviews. The bed is comfortable, but the sofa and overall space are not ideal for everyone, particularly those with mobility issues or taller guests. The property is more suited for short stays.
Facilities are adequate with a well-equipped kitchen, but there are maintenance issues such as a non-flushing toilet and a problematic skylight. Some guests also noted a lack of dining ware and TV instructions.
While some guests mention the absence of complimentary items such as tea, coffee, and toiletries, there is no consistent reference to gifts or thoughtful gestures, so a score cannot be provided. It's worth noting that such amenities are not guaranteed.

The location is what makes this stay. The apartment is quaint but there are a few things that would make the stay better.Having some basic kitchen essentials would be helpful like salt and pepper. Maybe olive oil, sugar in the sugar jar? Those sorts of things really set airbnbs apart in my head. The pillows were not very good quality and were too small for the pillowcases. Although the bed was comfortable. The lighting was a little bit temperamental. .And The plug socket next to the bed hummed When you plugged a USB into it. We couldn't find a recycling bin so we used the neighbours because we would rather recycle than not. There was only one roll of toilet roll given that we were staying for a week, that seemed a little stingy. The property was comfortable and warmed up quickly and location is amazing. All in all we did have a lovely stay

We was pleasantly surprised with this property, very quirky layout ,all furnishings were of the highest quality, the bed was very comfortable, lack of storage but we managed fine, kitchen was well equipped,we usually eat out when we are away,we cooked on one of the nights an noticed there were only 2 large dining plates 1 had a chip and was cracked ,we informed holiday company of this .The location is fabulous literally round the corner from the town centre.Overall we loved our stay and definitely would return next time we are in Keswick. We would definitely recommend this property.
