The Old Stable in Keswick is praised for its fabulous location and quirky, high-quality furnishings. It's ideal for short stays, offering a comfortable bed and a well-equipped kitchen. Despite its compact size, it's a charming and central choice for exploring the town and the Lake District.
Cleanliness is generally good, with some minor issues noted such as bits beside the mattress. The property appears to be well-maintained, though attention to detail could enhance the overall cleanliness.
The location is consistently lauded as excellent, being right in the heart of Keswick, close to shops, restaurants, and the lake, making it a prime spot for visitors.
Comfort is adequate with a very comfortable bed mentioned, but there are remarks about the property being cramped for two people, a poor quality sofa, and low beams that could be problematic for taller individuals.
Facilities are well-regarded with a well-equipped kitchen, but there are several maintenance issues such as a problematic toilet flush, a non-opening skylight, and a lack of instructions for the TV. Some guests also suggested the addition of more dining ware and storage solutions.
While some guests missed having basic kitchen essentials and complimentary items upon arrival, these gestures are not consistently mentioned across the reviews, and it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

The location is what makes this stay. The apartment is quaint but there are a few things that would make the stay better.Having some basic kitchen essentials would be helpful like salt and pepper. Maybe olive oil, sugar in the sugar jar? Those sorts of things really set airbnbs apart in my head. The pillows were not very good quality and were too small for the pillowcases. Although the bed was comfortable. The lighting was a little bit temperamental. .And The plug socket next to the bed hummed When you plugged a USB into it. We couldn't find a recycling bin so we used the neighbours because we would rather recycle than not. There was only one roll of toilet roll given that we were staying for a week, that seemed a little stingy. The property was comfortable and warmed up quickly and location is amazing. All in all we did have a lovely stay
