Excellent cottage lovely location very comfortable bed, Would recommend a metal bucket for cleaning out the fire as there was no where to put the ash or any brush and shovel to clean it out. Also the dinning table was very sticky i tried to clean it but was no better. Apart from them 2 issues we had a good stay in barf cottage. Would recommend a sign outside as it took us a while to find the cottages, only found it when we parked at the pub and walked along the road and looked at the bins which had the name on.

We had a lovely week in 3 Barf Cottages - the house is in a great location for Keswick, Derwent Water, Borrowdale and the Northern Fells - plenty of walking from the door if you prefer not to drive too much and it's easy to walk into Keswick from the house. The house was light and airy with a good mix of modern furnishings and traditional features such as a log burner. Sofas and beds were comfortable. The owner was also very helpful when we had a minor issue with the bins.
