A stunning end terrace cottage which has been extended, modernised, furnished and equipped to an excellent standard by the owners. 3 Barf Cottages is situated along a small, no thoroughfare lane, in the village of Portinscale. There are several cafes, tea rooms, restaurants and two marinas in this popular lakeside village, which is accessible via a footpath from Keswick, where you will find a wealth of amenities. Much effort and attention to detail has been afforded by the owners to create a cottage oozing with quality and great facilities. There is a fabulous garden room which doubles as the dining room, overlooking the garden to the fells beyond, bathroom and shower room, excellent kitchen, wood burner, wooden floors, parking and Wi-Fi.

A spacious but cosy cottage with gorgeous views, and birds to watch, from the garden room. Very clean and comfy. Great location for walking to Keswick, or up Catbells (did both). The local pub was perfect for a post-hike tea and we had a delicious breakfast at the Chalet on the morning we left. There are no shops in the village but Keswick is close by and there is a Spar 5 minutes drive - if that - from the cottage. We would definitely stay here again if visiting this area.

Great place to stay. Good location, near local pub and a nice stroll into Keswick. Cottage was very clean. Log burner great for the cold weather we had.Parking for 1 car outside cottage with more parking available further down the lane. Overall a very nice place to stay.
