Derwentwater is on your doorstep with opportunities for sailing and canoeing, or a trip on the launch. The fells are easily accessible from your door, perfect for walking enthusiasts of all abilities. Keswick is only 2 miles away by road or a pleasant walk across fields takes you into the town centre. Given that several reviewers had left somewhat negative comments, we didn't expect too much. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. More spacious than the pictures would led you to think. Very comfortable and extremely well equipped. The Christmas tree and generous welcome pack were lovely. The information booklet was perfect. We were very comfortable there and had a wonderful holiday. The tv isn't a smart one but we took a chromecast device to watch Netflix and iplayer. Overall perfect for us.
