We had a lovely, comfortable stay in this property. Well located for walks and within walking distance to Keswick.

I last stayed in this bungalow over ten years ago and it doesn't seem to have changed very much. So, if you have very high expectations and want modern five star luxury, then this is not the place for you. That said, I found it comfortable enough, and for someone self catering, the kitchen was well enough equipped. The bed I slept in was fine. The white Sofa covers were stained in a couple of places and one towel had a mark on it. Overall cleanliness was exceptable but could be better. The driveway is quite steep with a narrow gateway. If your group had two cars then I think you would have to leave one on the road, being careful not to cause an obstruction, as the road is narrow. One of the neighbours leaves their car parked just to the side of the gateway, presumably because they don't want people blocking them in. Portinscale is a lovely quiet area with pubs and a cafe within a short stroll and Keswick is a 20 minute walk. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Just bear in mind that this is suitable for people on a budget, who don't expect luxury.
