The shepherds bothy was in a perfect location for exploring the lovely Lincolnshire Wolds . The enclosed garden and the views were really good and it was a nice space to sit in to have breakfast or watch the evening sun. One side of the garden is adjacent to the road which comes out of the village and up the hill so there was occasional traffic noise. The double bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. The kitchen was compact but there was enough equipment to self cater, although there was no table to sit round. It is worth noting that the freezer is really just the icebox at the top of the fridge. The second bedroom is only really suitable for small children with steep open wooden stairs out of the living room into the roof space and a very low ceiling.

Pleasant quiet location with view across a field.Would suit a couple or couple with small children only ! Because second bedroom is basically a mezzanine with height of approximately 5 feet maximum.Accommodation is was clean and tidy , owners left a nice selection of groceries for us including milk , bread, butter, jam, cake , biscuits, fruit, wine , and juice. Local pub only open Monday to Thursday and probably doesn’t do food but never went in to find out. Happy to recommend .
