Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring, there is a step to the decked area and, a fenced stream in the grounds.. Situated on a country road, this attractive detached barn set in the grounds of the owners’ home has been lovingly converted, retaining many original features and beams. Celebrating excellent views over the surrounding countryside and superb walks from the door, with numerous local footpaths, the Old Byre makes an ideal base for visiting all the attractions the Peak District has to offer including Chatsworth House, Alton Towers (just 10 minutes away), Haddon Hall, Carsington Water, Cheddleton Steam Railway, Rudyard Lake and Meerbook Reservoir to name just a few. The Old Byre is a fabulous cottage for enjoying the peace and tranquility of the countryside, with fabulous views of the valley. The cottage is well-equipped for cooking meals, and its location allows easy access to several locations of interest, be it cafes and restaurants, walking routes or places to explore such as Buxton, Biddulph Gardens or Chatsworth. I look forward to staying again in the future.

Excellent cottage with magnificent views. Our third stay in this peaceful country cottage, with easy access to Leek and many Peak District attractions. Homely and clean with everything we needed for a lovely week. Several good local eateries, as well as good cooking facilities for eating in. Hope to return soon.
