Just returned from a lovely week at The Old Byre. The views are wonderful!Easy access to all the lovely villages and walks that The Peak District offers. The Reform pub is just a short drive away and the menu /food is excellent. Leek is also a short drive away with all the facilitates you'd expect from a small town. And compared to my local prices, the petrol was cheap. The cottage was very well equipped and cosy - I was there whilst the country was being battered by high winds and inside the cottage it was all quiet and calm. There is a good size field to walk around and exercise dogs - particularly useful for the morning/last thing at night walk. The hosts are lovely - all messages responded to quickly and nothing is too much trouble.I would definitely stay again

A great place to stay and explore the Peak District. Accommodation was well furnished and the owners Kev and Helen were wonderful. Plenty of room in adjoining field to exercise the dog

Lovely cottage, somewhat isolated so very quiet. Peaceful and relaxing. We just found it was very windy up there and the windows very draughty and the cottage was quite cool especially the lounge and bedroom. Bed very comfortable, shower a bit restricted for large people.
