Railway cottage certainly did not disappoint us! The location was fabulous for cycling. Gill was the perfect friendly hostess. We were bowled over by the beautiful welcome hamper and the gorgeous scones, jam and cream. The cottage is well stocked with many personal touches. I think it's the best cottage I have ever stayed in for these little extras. The lounge and second bedroom aren't large but it was adequate for our stay. The views are amazing and it's in a good location for visiting the Peak District. We'd definitely return.

An excellent holiday cottage in the Peak district. Phil and Gill were brilliant hosts and provided a lovely welcome basket with much information about the local area. The cottage was well equipped with everything you may need. Their hospitality was superb . I would recommend this holiday cottage to all!

We had a great time at this warm, clean and cosy cottage which is in a great location for visiting the local area. There are two comfortable bedrooms both with an en-suite shower (one with facilities for the less mobile). The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you might need. The cottage backs on to the High Peak Trail which makes it super easy to go for a nice walk from the door. The owners, Gill and Phil, are onsite and very friendly and helpful but not intrusive at all. They were kind enough to leave a hamper of snacks and some delicious homemade scones. We hope to come back again before too long.
