Cranford House in Alford, Lincolnshire, receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, thoughtful touches like welcome packs, and the property's proximity to local shops and beaches. The enclosed gardens are a hit with pet owners, and the hosts are commended for their hospitality.
Guests consistently mention the property's exceptional cleanliness, with several reviews highlighting the spotless condition upon arrival and the thorough cleaning service provided during stays. One isolated comment about a fridge seal suggests a minor oversight, but overall, the property is celebrated for its cleanliness.
The property's location is very well received, with guests enjoying the peaceful village setting and easy access to local amenities, beaches, and attractions. The convenience of the location for exploring the area is frequently mentioned, although one guest noted difficulty in finding the property due to a discrepancy in signage.
Comfort is a strong point for Cranford House, with guests finding the property cosy and the beds comfortable. The presence of a private courtyard and garden adds to the comfort level. A single review mentioned an uncomfortable mattress, but this seems to be an exception to the otherwise positive feedback.
Facilities are generally praised for being well-equipped and maintained, with special mentions of the kitchen and outdoor areas. However, a few guests suggested minor improvements and noted the absence of certain items like oven gloves and a pizza cutter, indicating room for enhancement.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the welcome packs and ongoing communication, which guests find delightful. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though common, may vary and are not guaranteed with every stay.
